Callings
When Reading the Callings articles I realized That in order to have a fulfilling job in the future is to be open minded, and have your best interest at heart. And to no be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new. I feel A lot more stressed about having to choose my college and career path after reading about others journeys. I feel like I have a bigger safety net then I previously thought I would just in case something in my plan doesn't work out how I wanted it to.
College Preparation
A really big part of me choosing a post-secondary school after high school is definitely location and the degree I want to get. I want it to be in a geographic location I want to be in somewhere like California or Oregon probably. And obviously when I do choose my major I want to learn it at a school that is well known for that and I know I'll be getting my money worth. My ideal college Is probably something on the smaller side because based on my experience I seem to work better in smaller environments like that. I also want a diverse community but also have people I get along with and somewhere I can make friends easily.
Transcripts
As of right now my college and career goals are to get accepted into a good college under a major I'm really passionate about and once I get a degree and graduate, utilize my degree and get a job in that field. So far my high school career has lined up with these goals because I have pretty consistent grades being majority A's and the rest B's which I think is a pretty good start to getting to where I want to go. I also play sports and I'm working towards getting a job and an internship this summer which will also help.
YouScience
I learned a lot about myself through the YouScience aptitude tests and career tests. I learned I'm a generalist and a future thinker. I also learned I'm good at working in groups. I think this knowledge will definitely come in handy when I'm choosing a major and a career and mapping out the rest of my life because I know the things that motivate me in a work setting but also my standards I want to be met socially.
